Award Winning Cabaret Artists bring “A Taste of New York Cabaret” to Carmel by the Sea
Barbara Brussell and Mark Nadler Make their Carmel Cabaret Debut at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts

Award-winning cabaret artist Barbara Brussell returns to Carmel accompanied by  celebrated pianist/singer Mark Nadler in “A Taste of New York Cabaret” for one show, Friday, November 11th at 7:30 p.m. at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts.Tickets: $20 online at BrownPaperTickets.com, or, $25 at the door. Mining selections from the Weimar Republic, Parisian cabaret, as well as contemporary songwriters from Broadway to Big Sur and beyond, Brussell and Nadler are supreme exemplars of the American Songbook tradition celebrated in one show only in Cherry Hall.

Barbara Brussell has appeared coast to coast, including the famed Oak Room at Algonquin Hotel in New York City.  Stephen Holden, of The New York Times, wrote “Her show ought to establish Ms. Brussell as a singer and storyteller ready to join the dozen or so performers on cabaret’s top rung.” Rex Reed, for the New York Observer, wrote, “In a Cabaret world … Barbara Brussell is a dream come true.”

Internationally acclaimed, multi-award winner, pianist-singer, Mark Nadler, who has appeared at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway, and from coast to coast, was recently heralded by Stephen Holden of The New York Times as “a comic spark plug touched with brilliance,” and David Finkle from The Village Voice dubbed him “the most prodigiously talented entertainer working in America today!”

Ms. Brussell and Mr. Nadler will also hold a Master Class in Cabaret on Saturday, November 12th from 1 to 4 p.m. in Cherry Hall. Class: $30 for participants, $20 for observers. Tickets online at BrownPaperTickets.com
