In this session of eight classes, students (grades 9-12) will learn the art of improvisational theater, including improv technique, short-form games and long-form scenes.  Classes will be held in the Cherry Center’s gallery, located on the northwest corner of Fourth and Guadalupe, Carmel.

Instructor Barbara Rees has been teaching theatre for forty-five years.  For the past nine years, she was an english teacher and director of theatre at York School where she launched an acting program and a study of design and world theatre traditions. Nick Rees, professional improvisational actor and former touring member of Chicago’s famed The Second City, will Skype in for two of the sessions.

Be spontaneous, creative, playful and imaginative while you develop valuable theatre skills. $100 per session (8 classes) or $15 per individual class.
