An Exuberant Evening with Barbara Mossberg and John Muir . . . and Louisa Wanda!
Join us Saturday, May 17th, for a magical evening of poignancy and lift in performance arts with Dr. Barbara Mossberg at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts in Carmel. Tickets are $15, available on Eventbrite.com.
An international scholar of John Muir, teacher of eco literature, and California laureate Poet-in-Residence Emerita (Pacific Grove), Mossberg brings her poetry and scholarship to imagine and help correct the historical record of how purple prose led to public policy and civic commitment to preserve the wilderness. What does love have to do with it? Or a devoted wife? A world premiere concert recitation of a new historical musical drama on John Muir.
Join Barbara and our Cherry community for rounds of cakes and ale (always cake!) and merriment following the presentation.
