Arts Habitat, a Monterey County non-profit, invites you to an Arts in Progress presentation by renowned Carmel painter, Lucas Blok on Thursday, September 22, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and is a program in support of the Monterey County Artists Studio Tour, taking place October 8, 9 & 15, 16. Go to ArtsHabitat.org for Tour catalogs, maps, and more information.
Come get inspired by Blok’s presentation of his artwork, influences and technique. His paintings are developed from his delight of exploring the why and how of his visual and emotional world. He is fascinated by our ability to take the energy from sunlight and convert it into a process that can become an esthetic, informative, and spiritual experience. The artist ushers the viewer into a world of color relationships that play on optical nerves and emotions alike. Adjacent color areas harmonize or generate delicate discords that become, like musical compositions, harmony, rhythm, discord, balance.
