After 35 years, local singer/actress, award-winning cabaret artist Barbara Brussell returns to the Monterey Peninsula on Saturday, February 11th, with her second presentation of “Cabaret by the Sea.”
In their debut cabaret pairing, Barbara and musical director/pianist/composer/arranger George Peterson will be joined by bass and vocal coach Louis Lebherz, local singer Wies Norberg, and singer/voice and music teacher Gina Welch-Hagen.
While it’s “live theater and anything can happen,” expect a potpourri of love songs old and new. Barbara’s selections are funny, poignant, and personal — with material from the Great American Songbook; Broadway; contemporary songwriters from Cole Porter to Joni Mitchell; and maybe even a little Rodgers and Hart or Lerner and Loewe thrown in for good measure!
Be sure to share Barbara’s Cabaret Valentine show with that special someone; dear heart or dear friend. The performance will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $25.00 in advance at Brown Paper Tickets or $30 cash at the door. For more information, please call (831) 869-8167.
