Jazz At The Cherry is delighted to welcome back Along Came Betty for what has become a cherished December tradition. Join us on Sunday, December 6th, for an afternoon of outstanding jazz, good company, wine, and light fare—all included in the ticket price.
Get into the holiday spirit with some of the finest bebop and straight-ahead jazz on the West Coast! Along Came Betty brings its distinctive sound to the stage with richly harmonized saxophone and trumpet, supported by the classic piano, bass, and drums rhythm section.
Founded in 1998 by drummer Patrick Tregenza, Along Came Betty has spent nearly three decades celebrating the spirit of hard bop, one of the defining movements in jazz during the 1950s and ’60s. The quintet features five accomplished Monterey Bay Area musicians: Bill Spencer, piano; Brian Stock, trumpet and flugelhorn; Paul Tarantino, saxophone; Pete Lips, bass; and Patrick Tregenza, drums. Together, they have performed at numerous jazz venues and festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Big Sur Jazz Festival.
We are thrilled to have Along Came Betty bring our 2026 concert season to a close. Their December appearances have become audience favorites, and this concert promises to be another memorable afternoon of exceptional music and holiday camaraderie.
This show is always a sellout, so be sure to reserve your seats early!
