Figure and Ground

 

The human figure will be the emphasis of an exhibit, theater production, life drawing session and reading this June at the Carl Cherry Center. Figure and Ground, an exhibit exploring the human form, will be paired with Lorraine Olsen’s riveting one-woman show, “Figuratively Speaking” beginning Friday, June 6th at the Cherry Center.

 

The exhibit can be seen through July 18.

The Oslo-based Norwegian folk music group Feleboga will perform at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts. Feleboga repertoire includes different genres of traditional tunes, from the older, intricate listening pieces (lyderlåter) and dance tunes (slåtter) for solo hardingfele, to the newer gammeldans tunes(waltz, reinlender, polka) for hardingfele or violins and guitar.
