The Janka Project and the Fresno Arts Council in conjunction with the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts present Janka, an eyewitness account of the Holocaust journey of Janka Festinger. This powerful performance will put you into the middle of Hitler’s Final Solution. The play was written by Janka’s son, Oscar Speace, and stars Janice Noga in the title role.

Janka’s courageous journey of survival and hope, through two of history’s most notorious death camps – Auschwitz and Dachau, to the shores of the United States and the embrace of the American Dream, is adapted from a sixty page hand-written letter describing the events following the Nazis’ internment of Romanian Jews in 1944.

Performances are Friday and Saturday, January 24 & 25 at 7:00pm and Sunday, January 26 at 2:00pm.  The Cherry Hall Theater is located at Guadalupe & 4th, Carmel. Tickets are $25, available on brownpapertickets.com.
